A study in dappled sunlight. This is Osa Creek just before it joins the Kern River in the heart of the Golden Trout Wilderness. It’s hot and dry, but a number of summer thunderstorms had come through in previous weeks. You can see evidence of the changing water levels in the sandy bank under the nearest tree.
The line thicknesses vary widely, but are the result of using oak dowels as styluses. The tips were carved to different widths. All the lines were drawn in one session and the plate was etched in a single bath. Printed in brown ink, then hand-colored with watercolors.
Edition of 12 color variations. Number 2 is elegantly framed by The Art Works, Paso Robles. No other edition. Please contact David to purchase or for more information. Prices do not include sales tax and shipping.
